Postgame 28: The end of the world

December 3, 2009

Quick quiz:

Who would you rather be right now, Tiger Woods, John Stevens, or a Habs fan?

I pick the first two.

That game was le suck. After some almost heroic efforts for three games, the Habs seem to have given up and unraveled over the last two games. I say ‘games’ but I mean ‘massacres.’

The Montreal Canadiens, the “most storied franchise” in the world (Sweet Baby Jesus I’m sick of hearing that), will be 100 years old tomorrow. And their centennial celebrations have resulted in nothing but disaster on the ice.

Excited as I am about the Habstravaganza that’s going to be taking place tomorrow, I’m also ready for it to be over so my Habs can play without distraction and maybe possibly win some games in December so that they can maybe possibly make the playoffs.

Game 28 Brian Gionta love: Brian Gionta. Who wasn’t in Buffalo tonight.

Andrei Markov: There are no words…

Goalie Guessing Game: Carey… Carey Carey Carey Carey. Carey.

Chris Higgins Career Watch: I want him and his big nose and his ugly haircut back.

Need Gionta back……….. Though Sergei seems to have hooked up with Gomez eh. Gio will be jealous!

Higgy couldn’t hurt. I don’t think the Rags would notice if we smuggled him back eh?

The Habs played like they were 100 years old last couple of games.
