Postgame 22 – Frozen chickens

November 20, 2009

Habs win! Habs win! Against the Caps! (shut up about injuries, the Habs are decimated, too)

The horrible part about squinting at a tv in a corner while you’re out and also missing the last ten minutes is that you are unable to fully appreciate some of the saves.

Still, based on what I saw, the Canadiens spent some time in the offensive zone, which was nice.

Game 22 Gionta love: Carey.

Andrei Markov: Carey.

Goalie Guessing Game: Carey, unless Count Chocula wants to fuck up his game like he did in Calgary.

Chris Higgins Career Watch: Carey.

Travis Moen: Carey.

Cammalleri PP goal: Carey.

Injuries are not an excuse for the Caps. The only advantage the Canadiens really had in this game was getting to play against Neuvirth.

The best possible news for Habs fans AFTER this game is that the Capitals are now pissed off heading right into Toronto.

I almost wanna watch that instead of Detroit at Habs.

The biggest positive out of this game for me is the fact that we held Ovy at bay and minimized the quality scoring chances from the rest of the Caps.

Yes Carey made 30+ saves but not very many of those were exceedingly difficult for him.

Mike Boone said it was thanks to the D’s active sticks. 🙂
