Postgame 13: Please fill in the blanks

October 31, 2009

I did not watch this game because I was at a co-worker’s leaving party. The game was on in a far away corner but I couldn’t really see what was going on, and every time I squinted at the screen it looked like a Montreal Canadien was either being sent to the penalty box, being escorted to the penalty box or sitting in the penalty box.

Anyway, if you watched this game, kindly fill in the blanks as appropriate:

The Habs’ effort:__________________________________

Game 13 Gionta love:____________________________

Goalie Guessing Game: ___________________________

Chris Higgins Career Watch: First I heard he was scratched for last night’s game.
Then I heard he had a lower-body injury.
Then I heard he was just scratched.
Which is it?
I guess having your head up your ass is technically a lower-body injury.

    The Habs’ effort: poo-based

Gionta love: unconditional, but he can do better than that. If he doesn’t reach 35 goals I won’t love him anymore.

Goalie Guessing Game: Jacques Martin is no Monty Hall, I’ll say that much.

Jacques Martin looks a little like a grumpy French Monty Hall. I laughed at the Higgins remark. I cried at our effort.

Habs effort: Worked for 25/60 minutes. Not acceptable.

Gionta: Good on the PK, but not his best game overall.

    Goalies: Price was awesome.

The Habs’ effort: Poopy! But a little better than the game before.
Gionta love: Adoring. But he appears to have caught a disease in his skating that makes him fall at the worst moment.
Goalie Guessing Game: Priceberg stood on his head, hates Bergeron’s skates.
    Andrei Markov: is needed, badly.
