Postgame 6: Ugh.

October 15, 2009

That game was winnable.

The Habs didn’t win it.

The Avs played well.

I was happy to see Matt Duchene didn’t skate circles around the Habs D. Until I realized he was instead skating circles around the likes of Brian Gionta and Andrei Kostitsyn. And Guillaume Latendresse, but that you could see coming.

Craig Anderson was excellent.

Price wasn’t bad, either. He seemed pretty confident in net and didn’t do his “stop, drop, and roll” thing at the first sign of an opposing player, like he does on the nights he sucks. That serial killer, much? mask is working for him.

Plekanec is getting ridiculous. Was he this good in 07-08? Or did he suck so much last year that his born-again awesomeness just seems that much more amazing?

Hamrlik has also been born-again. The awesomeness not seen since 07-08 is back. He’s never going to be an Andrei Markov, but then again, who is?

THE FUCKING TURNOVERS NEED TO STOP ALREADY OH MY GOD

I’m not too optimistic about Saturday, I gotta say.

Plekanec sucked last year. That’s the story there.

I thought Pleks play well last night, in spite of the no-call on the shot into the netting leading to the Habs’ second goal.
I felt bad for Price. I can’t fault him for the first two (a couple of own goals) and there was no defence on the 3rd one. I like Ryan O’Reilly but he shouldn’t have been able to score on his own rebound.
Also, how about that Avs’ PK?
