Does Sergei Kostitsyn know he’s an assclown?

September 30, 2009

Less than 24 hours to puck drop, and Montreal is a happy city, despite the fact that it’s criminally cold outside. Car flags are being stolen as we speak, though not at the same rate as last year. Everywhere you look there’s a Mike Cammalleri t-shirt or jersey. Speaking of jerseys, they’re really great for cleaning the car if you still don’t know what do do with your Mike Komisarek one.

The Red Sox basically backed into the playoffs, but don’t tell Terry Francona I said that, cause he’s intense and scary and he hates when people say that.

Life is good.

For us, at least.

For Sergei Kostitsyn, it’s kind of up in the air.

The first reason we should all be angry at Sergei Kostitsyn is that he has given Tsn.ca a reason to use the phrase “disgruntled forward” every 30 seconds again. They were wondering how to work it into their coverage after Dany Heatley got undisgruntled.

The second reason is that entitlement is ugly. A 22-year-old 200th pick throwing a hissy fit because the coach says he has to play by the rules and do the work if he wants to play in the big league would be funny if it weren’t so pathetic. I’m sure he thinks that he’s magically going to get traded to a high-profile team who’s going to realise just how awesome he is and let it slide when he misses the team bus or shows up to practice late or gets fat in the offseason (is it just me?) cause he’s just that awesome.

What a little assclown. I hope Gainey trades him to Edmonton.

I love to disgruntle forward, much better than sallying forth. I think Sergei is about 8lbs heavier than last season, and coming off shoulder surgery almost all of it’s got to be Belorussian dingdongs and wagon wheels.

The kicker for me is that he sees one of the longest standing captains -gone-, new coach brought in, and a boatload of other transactions and he actually comes to camp as if he has nothing to prove after a disastrous season.

The minute Lester got hit by a line drive last Friday, Francona called off the dogs. It just wasn’t worth attempting to catch the Yanks.

Congrats to the Jays for beating Pawtucket (AAA team for the Sox) this week. Enjoy the off-season and thank Doc Halladay for his service because last night was the last time you will see him in a Jay uni.

B’s vs Caps tonight at The Who The Hell Knows Arena….I’ll be listening to the game on the radio at Logan Airport just waiting to pick up Kovalchuk.

Goog luck to the Habs. While they have no shot this year. One has to respect the uniform and what they stood for.

B’s over the Flames in 6 for the Cup!

Sergei won’t go to Edmonton. He’s way too young for a Pat Quinn coached team. In other news it’s also frigid in Toronto today, perfect weather to watch the Bullies beat up on the Smurfs. Too bad the Bullies can put the puck in the net and they lose 3-1.
